This 36-minute musical is by Kathie Hill with Melody Morris. It begins with a nativity scene and then looks back into the Bible to discover why Christmas was necessary. Through story and song, we learn about Adam and Eve, Noah, the Old Testament prophets, and the history of man's disobedience to God. At the end of the Old Testament, God's people are left waiting for Jesus to come. The story continues to explain about Mary and Joseph, the birth of Jesus, the shepherds, and the wise men. The nativity scene is formed again and the musical ends with a song celebrating Emmanuel, "God with us." There are eighteen speaking parts and ten songs, plus an opening instrumental overture. Most of the songs are upbeat and some brief solos are included.

Director's Aide/Video contains choral book, listening CD, video featuring professional choreography, costume, props and set examples, 200 pages of promotional items, rehersal planning aides and production resources, spiritual activities, and more.

Split-track Accompaniment CD has the instruments only on one track of the CD, and the singing voices on the other track. It must be played on a system that has a "left and right" or stereo control. This makes it possible to dial the voices out and have just the music, to dial the music out and have just the voices, or to adjust the levels anywhere in between. This CD does not contain the recorded dialogue.
