Some of you seasoned puppet directors already know how handy Gaffers Tape is. It's great for covering anything you want to hid or make less obvious. It is a theatrical tape often used to cover prop handles or edges, wires or cords. Because it is very durable, it also is used for sticking parts together or making a hinge. Gaffers tape does not leave a sticky residue!
Now we have found a source for fluorescent gaffers tape! Did a light just go on? The possibilities are endless! In the Festival Theme Presentation, "Planned With a Purpose," we used fluorescent gaffers tape to outline figures on a black mat board. It makes a great prop. It could be used for lettering and the many places you now are using fluorescent paint. It comes in three colors: pink, yellow and green. The roll is 2" x 60 yards.
