It's Christmas, and Holly, a young girl with a compassionate heart, has launched a toy/food drive for the needy. This 30-minute musical is easy to stage, uses six main characters, and features six new songs. "Operation Holly" begins successfully until Holly gets a lot of publicity and loses focus. Then when everything is stolen by some street kids, Holly's "gifts" suddenly have strings attached. It is a delightful parallel to the story of God's gift to us - so perfect and undeserved. It presents a compelling illustration of Christ's command: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven." The finale song is a medley which includes the popular "Go Light Your World" song. The "Celebrate Christmas Reprise" includes "O Come, All Ye Faithful." This is a great musical for youth, puppets and choir and to involve the entire church in ministry to the needy.
