We are disappointed to announce that
there will not be an I-Fest in 2009.
The International Festival of Christian Puppetry and Ventriloquism has been an amazing week each summer since 1996, but the current economic conditions make it difficult to conduct the conference this year. This decision was made with a lot of prayer and seeking God's direction.
It is our hope that this will just be a one-year break and that I-Fest will be back again for 2010. One Way Street's events department is planning two other summer events for 2009: Vent Summit and Creative Children's Ministry University. Please see our website for more details about these events.
Even though God knew there would not be an I-Fest this year, He gave us the 2009 I-Fest theme shortly after returning from last year's conference. It was "Go Forth." We still feel that this is the theme he has for I-Fest attendees in 2009. We are encouraging those who would normally attend I-Fest to prayerfully consider what this theme means for your team. God wants you and your ministry to "Go Forth." To help equip other ministries with the skills you have gained, to reach out to others with the message of Jesus Christ. It may mean going to the other side of your town, it may mean going to the other side of the world. Please spend some time with the other members of your ministry praying for God to show you how you may "Go Forth."

The International Festival of Christian Puppetry and Ventriloquism, or I-Fest, is a unique weeklong annual gathering, which celebrates and promotes the use of puppets in ministry. Over 100 workshops are offered in three areas of interest: puppetry, ventriloquism, and puppet ministry leadership. Some workshops offer hands-on experience in areas such as puppet building or prop making, and ventriloquists have the option of enrolling in the Ventriloquists in Training certification program for serious performers.
In addition to the workshops, there are excellent performances, competitions, and a hall of vendors offering ministry-enhancing products. Come share a week with fellow ministry performers from around the world, or come Thursday evening through Saturday afternoon only for an exciting "SuperFest." You won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity for learning, encouragement, inspiration, spiritual growth, and motivation! We hope to see you there!
