The Interns:

Trent Black
Jenny Davis
Emily Demerath
Trent Black of Paris, Texas has been a puppeteer for seven years and now is assistant director. He is 19 and attending Paris Junior College. Trent has been very active in children's church and feels it is a real calling from God. His responsibilities include overseeing the praise and worship team, puppetry, drama and scheduling. He is good at writing skits, putting programs together, choreograping dowel rod presentations, and loves to do live characters, illusions and life size puppets. Jenny Davis comes from Smith Falls in Ontario Canada and she hopes her love for puppetry and missions will lead her to ministering to others at home and abroad. She attends Algonquin College studying tourism and travel. Now 19, she speaks of her life changing experience gained from a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. She has enjoyed leadership roles on her puppet team as well as helping organize events for her church's youth worship team. Emily Demerath, 20, is from Montgomery, Illinois. She has attended Monmouth College for two years where she was a leader in the marching band. While Emily has always attended church and Sunday school, she attributes her real Christian growth to her seven years on the church puppetry team. Emily recently went to Reading, England on a college trip to learn about cultural differences and children's literature.
JJ Graves
Cory Spittler
A youth ministry major from Nebraska Christian College, JJ Graves, 19, joins the team from Papillian, Nebraska. He is a strong leader with his church's junior high school youth. Every Sunday, he presents (solo) a puppet show in Sunday School for Pre-K and kindergartners. His mother and he own a puppet company and JJ's puppet director says, "his puppetry experience shows in their designs and creativity." "His movements are so believable you forget you're watching a puppet," she adds. Growing up with and becoming a part of her puppet team is Cory Spittler, 19, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Her parents and siblings have been involved in puppetry and drama for years. Cory now serves in a leadership role on her team, managing all set-up and tear down. She also creates and teaches choreography. She has been very involved at her church in service projects, mission trips, evangelism and nursery. She is described by many as a very hard worker.
