What is a Puppet Festival?
A Puppetry Festival is a weekend filled with workshops, performances, competition, demonstrations, and excitement. Festivals provide a place for teens and adults alike to learn more about the art of puppetry, to have a chance to hone their skills, and to network with other puppeteers and puppet teams in their region. Whether you are just getting started or you are a veteran puppet team director, a puppetry festival is the place for you! Other creative ministry techniques such as clowning, gospel illusion, ballooning, ventriloquism and others will often be taught at these regional events. Sunday school teachers, and children's workers can benefit from the varied workshops including music, leadership, storytelling and more along with the already mentioned classes.

Who should attend a Puppetry Festival?
Puppetry Festivals provide training for beginners and for more advanced puppeteers. There will be workshops for puppet team members and organizational and technical seminars for directors of puppet teams. Regardless of whether you're a Sunday School teacher, children's worship leader, or puppet team leader, you'll be encouraged and equipped to use puppets in your ministry. Please note that children under age 8 will not be admitted. Please do not bring babies, toddlers, or young children to the festival. The festival is for adults and youth over 8 years old.

What is the schedule of a festival?
Registration opens on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. The festival runs Friday evening and all day Saturday. Please check out a tentative schedule.

Puppetry Resource Display
There will be a wide variety of puppets, patterns, scripts, music, staging and curriculum plus other ministry resources for sale at the festival. Many items will be "On Special Sale" at reduced prices. Your personal check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover Card will be accepted. Visit the Resource Display and check out the newest and best in puppet songs and skits in our Listening Center. Come early and take time to look over the many ministry resources available to help you.

Cancellation Policies
Refunds will be given only if One Way Street is notified at least ten days prior to the festival. Cancellations received after the ten-day cutoff will receive a merchandise certificate for the registration amount minus a 20% cancellation fee. There will be no refunds after the event. If you are unable to compete, please contact us immediately to allow another team to compete. Competition fees are not refundable.

Register Early!
Get your registration completed as soon as possible! It will allow us the needed time to send a map, hotel information, and a tentative schedule so you can assign your attendees and puppeteers to specific workshops. For a registration form contact the One Way Street Events Department.
